2007 K1 on Lõuna-Korea peamine lahingutank, mis on kasutusel Koos Korea Vabariigi relvajõududega, mille on välja töötanud Hyundai Precision (hiljem Hyundai Rotem). The K1 88-Tank is a main battle tank of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces, developed by Hyundai Rotem in collaboration with General Dynamics Land Systems. The K1 88-Tank is based on the design of the M1 Abrams, but incorporates some features from the M60A3, such as the 105 mm rifled gun and the fire control system. The K1 88-Tank has a composite armor that provides protection against kinetic energy and chemical energy threats.
The K1 88-Tank can operate in various terrain conditions, thanks to its hydropneumatic suspension system that allows the tank to adjust its ground clearance and posture. The K1 88-Tank has a four-man crew and a diesel engine that gives it a maximum speed of 65 km/h on roads and a range of 500 km. The K1 88-Tank entered service in 1986 and has been upgraded several times since then. The latest variant is the K1A2, which features a 120 mm smoothbore gun, improved electronics, and enhanced armor.
