Estos documentales son fascinantes por 2 razones: por el alcance y el nivel de propaganda emitida por el gobierno para vender esta guerra al pueblo estadounidense, y para el otro extremo, las imágenes brutales de la guerra misma, como en el segmento "Para salvar a un soldado" en el disco 4, que muestra un heroísmo increíble entre los hombres y mujeres alistados. Algunos están en blanco y negro, algunos de color, y la mayoría están en buenas condiciones a pesar de su edad. Hay algunos clips que verás en más de 1 película, especialmente el del sargento Bill Belch hablando vietnamita mientras muestra a los aldeanos cómo usar un arma. Parte giro, parte engaño y parte verdad, este conjunto es un tesoro para cualquier persona interesada en Vietnam, donde ahora Ford Motor Co. tiene una planta de ensamblaje a 35 millas de Hanoi (en un extraño giro del destino, Robert McNamara fue una vez presidente de Ford).
