Den Dassault MD.452 Mystère is a 1950s French fighter-bomber. After the success of the Ouragan, Dassault was working on a more advanced machine based on it, which would take to the air in early 1951 as the MD.452 Mystère I. The first prototype Mystère I was essentially an Ouragan with a 30-degree swept wing and modified tail surfaces. Two further prototypes followed, powered by the Rolls-Royce Tay 250 centrifugal-flow turbojet, an improved version of the Rolls-Royce Nene, built under license by Hispano-Suiza, and rated at 28.0 kN (6,300 lbf) thrust.

Flere oplysninger:

The Dassault Mystere was a series of jet fighters developed by the French company Dassault Aviation in the 1950s and 1960s. The first model, the Mystere I, was a prototype that flew in 1951 and was based on the earlier Dassault Ouragan. The Mystere II was an improved version that entered service with the French Air Force in 1954 and saw combat in the Suez Crisis of 1956. The Mystere IV was the most successful variant, with more than 400 units built for France, India, and Israel. It had a swept wing, a more powerful engine, and a radar in the nose. The Mystere IV also participated in several conflicts, such as the Algerian War, the Six-Day War, and the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. The Mystere series was eventually replaced by more advanced designs, such as the Dassault Mirage III and the Dassault Super Mystere.
