The Yak - 3 (Як-3) was a World War II Soviet fighter aircraft.
The Yak-3 with its low clearance and its powerful engine was equipped with very great maneuverability, its armament consisted at the base with a ShVAK 20 mm cannon and a machine gun UBS 12.7 mm on the bonnet. Its development by Yakovlev began in 1941 but the bulk of the production took place in 1944, many variants of this aircraft have emerged following specific needs encountered on the front (anti-tank combat, interceptor, wooden version, version all metal etc...). At the end of the war the Yak-3 was in staffing in Yugoslav and Polish air forces.
