The WC52 was a military vehicle produced by Dodge during World War II. It was a variant of the WC51, with a winch mounted on the front. WC stands for Weapon Carrier, as the vehicle was designed to transport ammunition and troops. The WC52 could carry eight men and a 37mm anti-tank gun on its cargo bed. It had a 6-cylinder, 3.8L engine that could reach a speed of 87 km/h and a fuel consumption of 30L/100 km. The WC52 was used by the US, British and Canadian armies, and was nicknamed “Big Brother” or “Beep” by the soldiers. It was also the basis for other models, such as the WC56 and WC57. More than 255,000 WC51 and WC52 vehicles were built during the war, and many of them continued to serve in various roles after the war.
