Fotogalerija MGM-18 Lacrosse, The MGM-18 Lacrosse was a short-ranged tactical ballistic weapon intended for close support of ground troops. Its first flight test was in 1954 and was deployed by the United States Army beginning in 1959, despite being still in the development stage. Več informacij:

The MGM-18 Lacrosse was a short-range tactical ballistic missile developed by the United States Army in the 1950s. It was designed to provide close support to ground troops by delivering a nuclear or conventional warhead to a target area. The Lacrosse was launched from a mobile transporter-erector-launcher (TEL) vehicle that could be moved and camouflaged easily. The missile had a solid-fuel rocket booster and a liquid-fuel sustainer engine, and used a radio command guidance system with a ground-based radar. The Lacrosse had a range of about 19 miles (30 km) and an accuracy of about 150 yards (140 m). The Lacrosse was deployed in Europe and Korea from 1959 to 1964, when it was replaced by the more advanced MGM-29 Sergeant missile. The Lacrosse was considered a reliable and effective weapon, but it had some drawbacks, such as its vulnerability to electronic countermeasures, its limited mobility on rough terrain, and its high cost of maintenance and operation.
