The vehicle is equipped with a hydraulic crane that can lift up to 3.6 tonnes, a winch that can pull up to 10 tonnes, and various tools and spare parts. The FV106 Samson can also tow disabled vehicles using a tow bar or a tow rope. The vehicle is armed with a 7.62 mm machine gun for self-defense.
