Esses documentários são fascinantes por duas razões: Pela extensão e nível de propaganda lançada pelo governo para vender esta guerra ao povo americano, e para o outro extremo, as imagens brutais da própria guerra, como no segmento "Para Salvar um Soldado" no disco 4, que mostra um heroísmo incrível entre os homens e mulheres alistados. Alguns estão em b&w, alguns coloridos, e a maioria está em boas condições apesar de sua idade. Há alguns clipes que você verá em mais de 1 filme, especialmente o do Sargento Bill Belch falando vietnamita enquanto ele mostra aos aldeões como usar uma arma. Parte spin, parte engano, e parte verdade, este conjunto é um tesouro para qualquer um interessado no Vietnã, onde agora a Ford Motor Co. tem uma fábrica de montagem a 50 km de Hanói (em uma estranha reviravolta do destino, Robert McNamara já foi presidente da Ford).
