Mais informações:

The Strv M40 was a Swedish medium tank that was developed from the Strv m/38 and Strv m/39 light tanks. It was produced by Scania-Vabis and AB Landsverk from 1942 to 1944, and entered service with the Swedish Army in 1943. The Strv M40 had a riveted hull and turret, and was armed with a 37 mm Bofors m/38 gun and two 8 mm m/39 machine guns. It had a four-man crew and a top speed of 42 km/h.
The Strv M40 was based on the Czechoslovak TNH tank, which Sweden had ordered from ČKD in 1940 but never received due to the German occupation of Czechoslovakia. As compensation, Scania-Vabis was allowed to build its own tanks under license from ČKD, with some modifications to suit Swedish requirements. The first version of the Strv M40, designated Strv m/41 SI, had the same engine as the Strv m/40L, the Scania-Vabis type 1664. A total of 116 Strv m/41 SI tanks were built from December 1942 to August 1943.
In June 1942, a second version of the Strv M40 was ordered, designated Strv m/41 SII. This version had thicker frontal armor and a new engine, the Scania-Vabis L 603. It also had a different transmission and suspension system. A total of 106 Strv m/41 SII tanks were built from October 1943 to March 1944. The last 16 tanks of the order were converted into assault guns, designated Sav m/43.
The Strv M40 was mainly used for training and domestic defense purposes, as Sweden remained neutral during World War II. It was replaced by the Strv m/42 in the late 1940s, and some of the Strv M40 tanks were rebuilt into armored personnel carriers, designated Pbv 301. The turrets of these tanks were used on fortifications along the Swedish coast.
