Fleet Model 1 og dens derivater var alle ortodokse dobbeltdekkere med forskjøvne, enkeltbuktvinger med like spenn og fast haleskidunderstell. Innkvartering ble gitt for to i tandem, opprinnelig deler en enkelt åpen cockpit, men i de fleste eksempler i separate åpne cockpiter. Skroget var laget av sveiset stålrør med trekantet layout Warren truss konstruksjon mønster sidestrukturer typisk for tiden, og vingene hadde en tre spar med duralumin ribber, hele flyet er stoff-dekket. Til tross for en overfladisk likhet med Consolidateds svært vellykkede Trusty- og Husky-design (derav kallenavnet "Husky Junior"), var Model 14 et helt nytt design. The Consolidated PT-6A is a single-engine turboprop aircraft designed and manufactured by Consolidated Aircraft Corporation. The PT-6A was first flown in 1944 and entered service with the United States Army Air Forces in 1945. The PT-6A was used for training, liaison, and utility missions, and could carry up to four passengers or 600 pounds of cargo. The PT-6A was powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-1340 radial engine that produced 600 horsepower and gave the aircraft a maximum speed of 200 miles per hour and a range of 1,000 miles. The PT-6A had a wingspan of 39 feet, a length of 27 feet, and a height of 9 feet. The PT-6A was also known as the L-13 Grasshopper and the UC-78 Bobcat in military service, and as the Cessna T-50 in civilian use. The PT-6A was retired from military service in 1955 and from civilian service in 1969. About 5,400 PT-6As were built, and some are still flying today as vintage aircraft.
