Le BM-30 Smerch (russo: Смерч, "tromba d'aria"), 9K58 Smerch o 9A52-2 Smerch-M è un lanciarazzi multiplo pesante sovietico. Il sistema è progettato per sconfiggere bersagli di personale, corazzati e bersagli morbidi in aree di concentramento, batterie di artiglieria, posti di comando e depositi di munizioni. È stato creato nei primi anni 1980 ed è entrato in servizio nell'esercito sovietico nel 1989. Quando è stato osservato per la prima volta dall'Occidente nel 1983, ha ricevuto il codice MRL 280mm M1983. Si prevede che sarà sostituito dal 9A52-4 Tornado

The BM-30 Smerch is a heavy self-propelled multiple rocket launcher developed by the Soviet Union in the 1980s. It can fire 12 rockets of 300 mm caliber with a range of up to 200 km, depending on the type of warhead. The BM-30 Smerch is designed to destroy enemy personnel, armor, artillery, command posts, and ammunition depots. The BM-30 Smerch has been used in several conflicts, such as the Syrian civil war, the War in Donbas, and the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war. The BM-30 Smerch is mounted on a MAZ-7310 8×8 truck and has a crew of four. It can be reloaded in 20 minutes and can fire a salvo of 12 rockets in 38 seconds.
