Περισσότερες πληροφορίες:

The Yak-25 Flashlight was a long-range interceptor and reconnaissance aircraft developed by Yakovlev in the early 1950s. It was designed to protect the northern and eastern borders of the Soviet Union from potential intruders. The aircraft had a swept wing, a cruciform tail, and two Mikulin AM-5 turbojets mounted under the wings. The Yak-25 Flashlight had a two-seat cockpit with a radar operator behind the pilot.
The aircraft was equipped with a RP-6 Sokol radar in its nose, which could detect bombers and fighters at distances of 25 km and 16 km respectively. The Yak-25 Flashlight was armed with two 37 mm NL-37 L cannons and two unguided rockets under the wings. The aircraft had a maximum speed of 1,090 km/h and a range of 2,700 km with a drop tank. The Yak-25 Flashlight entered service in 1955 and was retired in 1967. It was replaced by more advanced interceptors such as the Yak-28 Firebar and the MiG-21 Fishbed.
